Virtuous Governance

The Institute of Directors and Q Partnership have embarked on a joint venture to map the current status of governance and boards in Zimbabwe. The survey, based on an on-line self-completed questionnaire, interrogates the roles and responsibilities of board members, board size, member tenure, the number of independent members and gender balance. It also investigates whether Zimbabwean boards generate strategy, initiate corporate responsibility, manage conflict of interest and carry-out inductions and evaluations of members. The survey has been targeted at 200 Chief Executive Offices and Company Secretaries in the private sector. The first set of ‘indicative’ results will be shared in the first half of 2019.
