In Zimbabwe, climate change will cause average temperatures to rise by about 3°C before the end of this century. Annual rainfall could decline by between 5 % and 18%, especially in the south. Rainfall will become more variable. There will be an increase in droughts, floods and storms.

Climate change is a serious problem, but it doesn’t mean we can’t have some fun while solving it. Here are some creative solutions that might make you laugh, but also make a difference:

  • Plant more trees, but make them look like giant broccoli. This way, we can trick kids into eating their greens and absorbing more carbon dioxide.
  • Replace all cars with bicycles, but add rocket boosters to them. This way, we can reduce emissions and travel faster at the same time.
  • Build giant fans around the world, but point them at the poles. This way, we can cool down the ice caps and prevent them from melting.

More seriously – we can mitigate: switch to renewable and clean sources of energy, travel less, eat less meat, and use less energy. We can also adapt: disaster preparedness, restore natural ecosystems, and conserving water.
